We are a small family run venue, focusing on good food, fine wines & exceptional ales, our aim is to provide a pleasant, comfortable environment for everyone to enjoy a relaxed drink or food, or both. The bar is stocked with six real ales, three permanent & three guest beers. We also carry Guinness, ciders, lagers & craft ales. We have a vast array of gins, including Filey Gin, our rum selection is growing, again to include local producers, we stock a range of vodka’s from the traditional to less well known. Our wines are sourced from all over the world, most of them have been personally tasted by our landlady.
In Scotch Corner you’ll find our single malt collection, some you’ll know, hopefully some you won’t & would like to try.
We have a large beer garden to the rear of the pub which on good days has the sun until early evening & a smaller covered one, at the front, your furry friends are welcome in both our gardens, however we don’t accept dogs inside unless they are accredited assistance dogs.
Whilst we welcome everyone, please be aware that we don’t serve shots & mainly concentrate on our premium food & drink offering’s.
The Star Filey Restaurant. We serve a selection of traditional & continental cuisine with a children’s menu too. Food is available in both the restaurant & bar areas. Our chef can also cater for most types of parties, from A La Carte to buffets. We can comfortably seat 30 people for a sit down event & up to 150 for a buffet. We can also offer entertainment to suit your party..
